Does Able2Extract work in a batch mode?

Yes – the batch conversion mode is available in Able2Extract.

There are two ways to run batch conversion:

1. From the File menu select the Batch Conversion… option, or
2. Click on the Batch button on the toolbar .

Batch conversion instruction

Step 1: After the Batch Conversion... option is selected or the  icon is clicked on the toolbar, the Batch Conversion dialog will open and you will be able to select PDF files for batch conversion. To do so, click on the Add Files… button. 

You can add as many files as you want. All the selected files will appear in the main dialog box. If you have accidentally added a file that you do not wish to convert, you can remove it easily from the list: just click on that file, and then click on the Remove Selected button.

Able2Extract will also allow you to specify and scan entire directories for source PDF files to be included in the batch conversion process. To upload a directory, click on the "Add Directory..." button.

Step 2: Once you have added all desired files for batch conversion, select the desired output format by using the Convert to drop-down menu.

Note: If you opt to convert to Excel or CSV, you'll be able to choose whether you would like to batch convert your PDF files by using automatic settings or by using templates.

To automatically convert your PDF files in the batch mode, please make sure that "Use Automatic Excel/CSV Conversion Settings" is selected. Then continue as per steps 3 and 4 that are outlined below.

Step 3: After you have selected the conversion output, the next step is to specify the output folder – i.e. the location of the converted files. By default, Able2Extract Professional 14.0 will save the converted results to the same folder as your source PDFs. To change this, uncheck the Same as Source box. Then specify an output folder by clicking on the Browse... button.

Step 4: Now re-enter the characters offered by the software into the empty field next to it and click Convert. The output files will appear in the designated Output folder.
