I am trying to convert a scanned file with OCR and am constantly getting scrambled data with improperly formatted columns and rows. What should I do?

This happens most commonly when the orientation of the file is in the wrong direction. Please check to see that the PDF is not upside-down or oriented in a direction that isn’t a regular right-side-up view of the file. Because we use OCR to convert scanned files, the text must be oriented in a left to right position so that the OCR engine can recognize the characters.

If this is the case, please orient your PDF in a PDF Creation tool such as our Sonic PDF Creator or scan the file in the correct orientation before trying to convert.
