If you are receiving a blank output file, this usually suggests that you are trying to convert a scanned PDF. Now, the problem could be happening for one of the two reasons:
- You have Standard edition of Able2Extract application which unfortunately cannot convert scanned PDF files. In this case, you will need to upgrade to the Professional edition of Able2Extract in order to be able to successfully convert your scanned PDF(s). To upgrade to the Professional edition, please click here.
- You have Professional edition of Able2Extract application, but for some reason the program has not detected that the PDF is scanned. Hence, OCR engine is not automatically turned on and will not perform the necessary conversion type (the OCR engine is a special module which is in charge for recognizing scanned content). When this occurs, you must manually turn the OCR engine on. To do so, please click on the Edit menu and from there select "OCR Options -> Perform image-based conversion (OCR)". Then open your PDF file in Able2Extract Professional and proceed with the conversion as usual.
